Amelia Island Book Festival

Now in its 19th year, the Amelia Island Book Festival will once again feature an impressive array of celebrity authors, including Kristen Ashley, David Baldacci, Diana Gabaldon, Tess Gerritsen, John Grisham and Ridley Pearson.  Festival favorite Steve Berry returns as Honorary Chairman.   The festival begins with a Kick Off Luncheon on Thursday, February 14, with bestselling authors John Grisham and David Baldacci.  And new for 2019, the festival will hold a Tweens & Teen Scene on Thursday in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Nassau County. On Friday, February 15, the Authors in School program will take place in all Nassau County public schools.  This  free event brings a presenting author to each school and provides the authors' books for students. Also on Friday, aspiring writers can participate in a Writer's Workshop at the FSCJ campus in Yulee from 8:30 to 2:00.  Choose between the tracks of Publishing 101 and The Craft of Writing.  Ticket price is $100 and includes lunch with special guest and New York Times bestselling author, Steve Berry. On Friday evening, the always popular Author Face-Off Gala will be held at the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. The ticket price of $185 includes an author open-bar cocktail reception, gourmet dinner and short live auction conducted by Florida Senator Aaron Bean, which features the chance to live forever in an upcoming Diana Gabaldon book - among other unique and fabulous prizes! Authors' books will be available for  purchase and signature at the end of the evening. The festival concludes on Saturday, February 16, with Expo Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm.  This family festival and celebration of the written word is open to everyone - with free admission and free parking, and plenty of food, fun, entertainment and activities.
